This version of the book of Jasher is translated into 21st Century American English from the 1887 J.H. Parry & Company translation of the 1613 Hebrew book Sepir Ha Yasher. It is in large 16 point print so that you can read without your glasses! The Jewish prayer shawl was chosen for an image on the cover because this book is mostly about the early history of the Jews and God's dealings with the first Jewish patriarchs who kept faith in God. It seemed appropriate to remember what Jesus said, "Salvation is of the Jews." But, Jesus and his original Apostles came from the Jews, and the Old Testament was always pregnant with the prophecies of Jesus Christ, and Jesus is our salvation, the Holy Lamb of God. I pray all Jews will come to a saving faith in the Messiah, Jesus Christ.
