Tobit is considered an apocrypha book, (hidden book), though it is canonized within the Catholic church. It tells the story of Tobit, an Israelite living in Nineveh after the deportation of Jews to Assyria in 721 B.C. Most of it is centered around his son, Tobias and the Archangel Raphael, who is disguised as a man. It is believed to have been quoted by the Prophet Amos, and also the Book of Moses and the Law of Moses, indicating its authenticity and authority.
